Katie Davies

Katie Davies is an associate within Arup Lighting since 2000.

Following completion of her masters degree in Light and Lighting Katie joined a London based international lighting design consultancy. During her 4 years with this company she gained valuable experience working on a number of varied lighting projects.

Since joining Arup Katie has continued to work on and run a number of varied lighting projects from concept stage through to completion. These include hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, offices, residences, historic buildings, exterior façade and landscape lighting schemes both in the U.K. and abroad.

Katie has worked on refurbishments as well as new build projects. She enjoys
working on small scale projects through to large scale schemes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Katie also has interior design experience having previously worked for two years at a London based hotel interior design consultancy following her degree in architecture.

• Kings Place, London – interior lighting design for mixed use public building containing an auditorium space for the London Sinfonietta.

• Khalifa Bin Zayed National Stadium, Abu Dhabi - external landscaping lighting for new stadium.

• Segovia Conference Centre and Restaurant building - Interior lighting design.

• Ministry of Finance – interior and exterior lighting for new headquarters in Trinidad.

• The Edge, Great Yarmouth – External lighting design for new casino and retail development on the seafront.
